Emerging Practitioners (EP) Continuing Education Session: Supporting Inclusivity in Architecture
Presented by: Amy Norris, MRAIC, OAA, RAIC EP Task Force
Date: Thursday, May 31, 10:30 a.m. to Noon
Locations: Saint John Trade & Convention Centre, Montagu II
Discussions surrounding immigration, gender equality, the prevalence of harassment in and outside of the workplace, and discrimination of all kinds are at the forefront of contemporary debate. How are these issues playing out within the profession of architecture? How do the experiences of becoming licensed, working in the profession, and of starting a practice differ for different demographic groups? What tools do we have to identify and assess these differences and what tools can we develop or promote to support and transition toward a more inclusive profession? This session presents the data, asks for more, and invites you to become part of the solution.
